Emil Anderson Equipment (EAE) is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Shop Supervisor for our maintenance division in West Kelowna, BC. Role Overview:

As the Shop Supervisor, you will be pivotal in ensuring our equipment repairs and maintenance operations meet Emil Anderson Equipment’s quality, safety, and productivity standards. Through skilled leadership, you will guide and develop our maintenance team and apprentices, driving excellence in every aspect of our service.

Responsibilities

Ensures equipment repairs and fleet maintenance operations are well organized, coordinated and comply with company policy and regulatory requirements Supervise the repair and maintenance of construction equipment and highway truck fleet, ensuring repairs and quality are of the highest standards. Ensuring adherence to the Emil Anderson Group’s health, safety, and environmental programs, policies, and regulations. Identifying, mitigating, and managing risks and hazards in the shop and yard. Perform safety inspections and rectify unsafe conditions and behaviours. Setting and enforcing expectations for health, safety, and environmental standards Participate in the creation and review of safety documents and involvement in incident investigations. Oversees compliance with company Safety Programs such as Field Level Hazard Assessments and Job Safe Work Procedures Communicates with the Operations Group to determine maintenance priorities for the maintenance team Provides leadership and supervision for our shop technicians and apprentices. Identifies resources required to complete tasks within the timeframes, budget and in accordance with equipment maintenance best practices, manufacturer guidelines and Emil Anderson Equipment policies. Plans and prioritizes, in conjunction with Operations, equipment repairs to maximize fleet availability. Ensures all reporting requirements and maintenance records are completed and updated in a timely manner. Maintains strong working relationships with Emil Anderson Operation Groups, vendors and suppliers Responsible for performance management of supervised staff in consultation with Emil Anderson leadership Actively seeks opportunities for continual improvement of the maintenance program Performs quality checks on repaired equipment before units are returned to service Leads morning tool box and safety meetings, ensures safety communications to the shop staff

Qualifications: 

Preferred 5-10 years of experience in heavy construction and highway truck repair, including several years in a leadership capacity Red Seal Mechanic or equivalent experience Demonstrated understanding of equipment maintenance best practices Knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements relating to the National Safety Code Excellent organizational and communication skills. Computer skills are required – Excel, Outlook, company specific software

Work Conditions

Work location is based in West Kelowna, BC. Must be willing and able to relocate to West Kelowna, BC After hours and weekend monitoring of your phone will be required

The salary range for this position will be discussed during the interview stage, taking into consideration candidate qualifications and experience. $90-$110k Annually
