Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Manager, F&B Outlet or the Assistant Manager, F&B Outlet, this position is responsible for, providing exemplary food and beverage service to casino guests in a fast paced envir onment. This position is a dual role, working primarily as a Beverage Server with the responsibility for light supervisory duties in the absence of a manager or supervisor (typically for only part of a shift - ., the last 2 hours of a sh ift). Ensures adherence to the Company�s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian�s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities 

Provides beverage service following established standards of service May provide limited food service from time to time Responsible for handling various financial transactions involving beverage service to guests Cleans and buses section Responsible for communicating any potential issues or concerns regarding responsible beverage service First point of contact for customer escalations including assessing situations for voiding or comping a meal Responds to basic team member questions/issues Responsible to check the phone for sick calls, may be required to call in replacements Responsible for assigning sections to servers, bartenders and hosts (if applicable) Responsible for basic shift training and orientation for new team members from time to time Responsible for organizing EOs (early outs) if necessary Responsible for ensuring basic opening or closing duties/checklist is completed, following up with co-workers if necessary Delivers an exceptional entertainment experience to internal and external guests to ensure you make their day Develops and cultivates strong working relation ships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, team members, vendors and regulators Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education and Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required Proven leadership skills and qualities Minimum 1-year food and beverage serving experience in either a bar or restaurant setting Cash handling experience required Point of sales experience required; Micros knowledge is an asset Strong sales and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize Ability to stand and carry a tray for the duration of a shift Works quickly and efficiently under pressure in a busy, fast-paced environment Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License

Work Environment Considerations

Regular food and beverage envir onment; standing and walking for long periods of time; exposure to heat, cold, steam, noise, odors; lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stretching, bending; some exposure to fumes, smoke, chemicals; risk of minor cuts and burns, may have n on-traditional work hours, schedule flexibility is required.
