DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Offering exceptional customer service at our counter and over the phoneResponding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders in the systemSourcing materials for customers when currently not in stockDeveloping and maintaining positive customer relationshipsHandling returns as requiredKeeping counter and sales area cleanMerchandising and showcasing product Contacting current customers and identifying new products and potential up-sellingMaintaining knowledge base on current products and learning about new productsProviding product information, pricing quotations, and follow-up on quotesEnsuring that customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and overall serviceWorking closely with others to ensure customer needs are met Other duties as required

Exceptional customer service skillsAbility to develop long-term relationships and generate referrals from your customersExcellent communication skillsImpeccable organizational skills with high attention to detailTime management & multitasking skills to serve several customers at the same timeStrong networking skills, outgoing personalitySelf-motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a teamProven ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to warm up and develop instant rapport with potential customersExcellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Email)

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Minimum grade 12 education requiredMinimum of two years sales experience (counter sales, inside sales or outside sales) requiredPost-Secondary courses in Plumbing, HVAC, or Electrical an assetSkilled in serving and negotiating with institutional and industrial purchasers, plumbing or electrical contractors, and the publicKnowledge of the Plumbing, HVAC and/or Electrical industry or a background in plumbing and/or products required

Final candidates will be required to undergo an assessment and security screening, including a criminal record check. Employment is subject to screening completion that is satisfactory to Bartle & Gibson.
