Internship Opportunity - Fall 2024

 

Come and join a passionate, creative and dynamic team We are responsible for an integrated development environment (IDE) application to develop machine vision applications as easily as possible.

 

The intern is required to work in the Dorval, Canada office a minimum of three days a week. 

 

Position Summary

 

As a software development intern for our Machine Vision team, your mandate will be to work in collaboration with the designers of the Aurora Design Assistant software and assist them in increasing and qualifying the capabilities of our vision IDE.

 

Bilingual Requirement: Fluency in French and English is preferred.

 

This is a hybrid position in our Dorval, Quebec Canada office only and needs to work onsite 3 days a week – Monday’s, Tuesday’s and Thursday’s.

En tant que stagiaire en développement logiciel pour notre équipe de Vision Industrielle, votre mandat sera de travailler en collaboration avec les concepteurs du logiciel Aurora Design Assistant et de les assister dans l'augmentation et la qualification de notre IDE de vision.


Responsibilities:

Your challenge will be to increase and qualify the capabilities of our vision IDE:

  • New vision tools
  • 3D inspection
  • Neural network training
  • New industrial protocols
  • Modern web operator interface

Your daily work with the team will include:

  • Development and qualification of vision software features (C #, .NET 6, Web)
  • Participation in design meetings
  • Agile development by sprint

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree in software engineering, computer science or related with an expected graduation date between Dec 2024 – Dec 2025.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the primary work location- Dorval, Canada
  • Previous internship in desktop application development using C# is a big plus..

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess strong knowledge of object oriented programming, with experience in C#, C++ or Java
  • Have experience with object oriented APIs, such as .NET Framework
  • Knowledge of Git and Github is considered and asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
  • A very good knowledge of both French and English is an asset
