About the Role

Financial Process Analysis:

Evaluate and enhance existing financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate cross divisionally (Retail Operations, Finance, Supply Chain etc.) with financial analysts and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements. Develop and implement streamlined financial processes, with a specific emphasis on optimizing reporting outputs. Ad hoc analysis as required to support the business needs of Store Development and Real Estate teams.  Oversee annual and periodic budgeting including invoicing as needed.

GIS Integration:

Collaborate with GIS analysts to incorporate spatial data where viable into financial reports.

Reporting Optimization:

Identify opportunities to optimize reporting workflows for financial and GIS analysis. Implement improvements to reporting processes to enhance speed, accuracy, and relevance. Work closely with end-users to understand reporting needs and tailor solutions accordingly. Create data visualizations that tell compelling data driven stories.

Data Management:

Oversee data collection, validation, and storage processes, ensuring data quality for reporting. Streamline centralized data management practices across SDRE. Implement data quality standards and contribute to maintaining data integrity across systems. Identify opportunities for automation in reporting and implement data-driven solutions for CAPEX and OPEX Process invoices as needed. Account reconciliation as needed. Identify anomalies in spend patterns, or cost centres.

Documentation and Communication:

Generate comprehensive reports and documentation to support SDRE’s various business units.  Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical information into understandable insights. Develop and maintain documentation for financial and GIS reporting processes.

Continuous Improvement:

Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in reporting methodologies and processes. Support SDRE strategic initiatives associated with network optimization including calibration of network and identification of top and poor performers.

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, GIS, Business, or related field. Proven experience in financial analysis, GIS, and process improvement. Intermediate proficiency in GIS tools and technologies. Familiarity with financial software. (Familiarity with LCBO internal systems like Oracle and MicroStrategy is preferred) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to make recommendations based on data driven insights and opportunities. Experience in optimizing reporting workflows and processes. Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity. Strong business acumen
