The Role:

This position is client-focused, knowledgeable of the industry and committed to establishing and maintaining excellent service and placing orders accurately in the computer system.

Key accountabilities include:

Utilize product knowledge to recommend alternatives to customers if their initial request cannot be met; upsell whenever possible. Participate in continuous product training to maintain thorough knowledge of the industry Communicate with Purchasing to ensure they are up to date with time requirements of orders, and alerting them of large orders that may deplete inventory Organize customer orders for pick up at the counter/Process counter returns Assist warehouse with order-picking, receiving, shipping or put away as needed Ensure that the Counter Zone is replenished daily Participate in counter promos, preparing showroom for counter days and change over monthly specials, including pricing and displays Participate in pager duties and Saturday counter shifts as scheduled

About You:

2-3 years product knowledge experience in the Plumbing and/or HVAC sector Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to customer service to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with our suppliers and customers Excellent organizational skills to effectively prioritize tasks and maintain an abundance of paperwork Ability to meet strategic goals and objectives with little supervision Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with high pressure for results Ability to exercise sound judgment, analyze the importance of situations and respond appropriately Good working knowledge of all areas of the ERP (Eclipse) systems Ability to utilize standard office equipment including computer, phone, copier, fax, etc.
