Are you community driven, community minded and passionate about growing the vision and mandate of the Ottawa Jewish Community? The Jewish Federation of Ottawa and the Ottawa Jewish Community Foundation (OJCF) have an immediate opening for a Vice President OR Director of Development to help form their new leadership team.
Located in the heart of Canada’s Capital, the Jewish Federation of Ottawa (JFO) is dedicated to ensuring the financial security and sustainability of Ottawa’s Jewish Community and agencies. With the recent success of almost $5 million in the last Annual Campaign, and a Community Foundation managing millions in assets, the JFO & OJCF are looking for a dynamic professional to help broaden the donor base, enhance relationships with major donors, motivate volunteers and develop new revenue streams to support the vital work of the JFO and OJCF.

Together with the new CEO, the VP / Director of Development will play a critical role in securing the current and future financial security of Ottawa’s Jewish Community. Building strong relationships with donors, expanding the donor base, and managing fundraising initiatives will be crucial to success in this role.
Key responsibilities include:
• Relationship building & prospect development.
• Developing and executing fundraising initiatives.
• Providing strategic insight, administrative oversight, and team leadership.

We seek a dynamic fundraiser with a minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience, particularly in major gift solicitations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a successful track record in all areas of fundraising and possess a comprehensive understanding of planned gift vehicles. Exceptional communication and presentation skills are essential, alongside the ability to make data driven decisions. This opportunity is for a candidate who is keen to grow and broaden their skills under the direction of a new CEO. The JFO and OJCF are searching for an innovative thinker who can cultivate collaboration and cohesion within their teams. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to nurture relationships, set and achieve goals, foster respect and loyalty and bring a deep passion for Jewish values and community.
