We’re seeking a leader that is excited by this vison/mission and ready to lead guest service teams to become enthusiastic, engaging hosts while creating unique and memorable experiences. Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager is a senior leadership role at Lake Minnewanka. This role is responsible for tour boat operations, boat rentals, charter fishing, Black Anchor Snack Shop, hiring, training and certification of staff and interpretation. Success will be measured on guest experience, employee engagement, leadership development, financial management, health and safety, and commitment to place.

Compensation

Annual wage of $66,560 ($32 per hour). + Benefits

What will you do in this job?

Translate vision and strategy into actions designed to grow the business Consistently communicate strategy and results to the team Coordinate the development of key performance goals for the team Develops standards and techniques to ensure safety, efficiency, consistency, quality and an elevated guest and team experience across all operations Support safe work habits and a safe working environment at all times Coach, develop and mentor the team while maintaining a fun, professional workplace Ensure proper documentation and record keeping of all training Facilitate training of all marine staff in accordance with Transport Canada and Parks Canada regulations and guest experience goals Develop best-in-class interpretive programs and inspire the team to deliver meaningful, impactful, passionate and exciting interpretation to all guests Collaborate closely with the Experience Development & Interpretation leaders based out of the Banff support services office Monitor online review sites and guest surveys, monthly guest experience reporting Adherence to financial forecasts and budgets; instrumental in taking steps to assist the business in exceeding targets Assists in preparing necessary data for budget; projects, labor and other costs and monitors actual financial results Time management, payroll reports and daily KPI’s Foster a culture of creativity, excellence, fun and hospitality “Promise to Place” ensure sustainability programming that represents the values at the heart of Pursuit; specifically, honoring place through stewardship, respect and community Participate in monthly financial reviews, forecasting and annual budget discussions Assist with capital projects, delivering on time and budget

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

Unparalleled commitment to health and safety Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in guest experience or attractions Experience with multiunit leadership an asset Unwavering commitment to guest experience and employee engagement Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, solutions driven and follow through Proven drive to continuously improve, adapt and innovate Strong ability to identify talent, mentor and grow talent internally Capable of reviewing guest journey, implementing solutions to enhance guest experience Demonstrated ability to develop, update and adopt processes

Masters Limited, Small Vessel Machinery Operators Certificates an asset
