The Technician, Technical Sales Support acts as an expert-advisor and provides technical assistance and support to the sales teams. This person supports the Project Manager in the evaluation of all new incoming B2B requests and help confirm feasibility. The person is responsible for traveling onsite and acquiring all project requirements including 3D scans of the product and environment. The person develops and presents a solution for the project taking into consideration all aspects of client requirements, certification, and production feasibility. This person tests and proves designs which at times can require multiple onsite visits with the client to finalize and approve final product and design and secure the contract. This role involve extensive travel to client locations, collaborating closely with clients to ensure that their specific needs are met and coordinating with internal teams to translate these requirements into actionable plans. Tasks and Responsibilities Technical Support to Project Managers
Review and analyze incoming commercial requests and act as an expert-advisor to confirm feasibility and propose a product solution.
Participate in intake calls with the requestor to run through scope and requirements to equip themselves with the information they need to propose a solution.
Present tested and approved product solutions to the Project Manager and Client.

Sales Support and Product Solutions
Act as an expert advisor to the sales team on potential commercial requests.
Travel to client locations to conduct in-depth assessments and evaluations of project requirements.
Establish strong relationships with clients to gain a thorough understanding of their goals and expectations.
Develop and present custom product solutions to meet client needs.
Work with clients and internal teams to adapt to changing project requirements as needed.
Work closely with internal teams, including Production Technical Support, Product Designer, Project Managers, Engineers, and sales teams, to ensure seamless project execution.
Create and refine prototypes through iterative testing using mock ups to validate design concepts and functionality ensuring they meet design specifications. 
Travel to client locations to perform dry fit installations of custom products and solutions.

Reporting andamp; Documentation
Maintain detailed records of project requirements, client interactions, and project progress.
Manage and maintain monthly reporting on use of company appointed credit card.
Generate and provide reports to immediate supervisor outlining project evaluations, recommendations, and successful implementations.
Ensure priority of execution for requests, in the established order
Participate in the improvement of practices and processes within the team
Organize all aspects of travel ensuring alignment with mandate timeline and objectives.
Organize meetings and calls with clients as well as with the various collaborators involved in the creation and development of the solutions. Job Requirements College diploma in mechanical production or the plastics field.
Proven experience in technical sales support and problem resolution.
Min 7 years of experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent knowledge of the thermoforming process and composite materials.
3 years of experience in Project Management an asset.
Advanced level knowledge of MS Office (Excel).
Knowledge of inventory management software (Navision) an asset.
Knowledge of AutoCad and SolidWorks (or equivalent) an asset.
Schedules may vary according to technical emergencies.
Must be able to travel to the United States or other countries (50%).
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and in French.[1]

Excellent ability to perform diagnosis and provide resolution of technical problems.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to use manual tools: (saw, drill and others).
Ability to read product and or layout detailed plans and produce plans and sketches to support the presentation of customer needs.
Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong ability to manage priorities in an environment where demands change and are constantly added.
Strong interpersonal skills, customer oriented, active listening, ability to build relationships.
