What you’ll do

 

Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - Quality Engineering Automation Developer
Location: Waterloo, ON
Internship Duration: 4 months starting September 2024

 

With the complex for product and automation coding, we provide weeks of continuous training.

 

In this position you will:

 

  • Identify performance, stability, reliability and usability issues in software used by some of the largest enterprises in the world
  • Enjoy comprehensive training on our products, testing procedures and tools
  • Learn about SQL and database technologies
  • Learn about HANA product and its cloud related technologies
  • Improve your skills with Python, Selenium, github and other web development tools
  • Be the first the try out new features and be a gatekeeper to make sure we ship only the best software to our customers
  • Develop and run automated test streams to test Web-based software using Selenium, Python and SQL (python + http request)
  • Manually test web-based software and write test plans
  • Improve our automated testing infrastructure
  • Help software developers understand and reproduce software defects and recommend improvements to the product
  • Learn more about quality assurance in the software industry
     

What you bring

 

We're looking for people how are creative, hard-working, sharing and bring some fun to the office. Successful applicants will have a passion for delivering high quality products, a good eye for detail and an exceptional ability to learn.

 

The following qualifications are required:

  • Details oriented approach. Skillful at finding problems in graphic user interfaces (GUI).
  • Experience with Python
  • Programming experience in any industry standard language such as JavaScript, Java, C++
  • Ability to work independently and in teams

 

The following are not required but would be valuable:

  • Experience with Selenium
  • Experience in a quality engineering role
  • Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows
  • Experience with cloud based software
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
  • Experience with object-oriented programming
  • Experience writing and executing test plans
