REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

High school diploma/educational equivalent

One (1) year of FedEx CTV driving experience required. Valid class AZ (class 1) drivers license with good driving record.

Must remain current in air brake endorsement, written test, road test, regular physical, as required by ministry of transport.

Good understanding of FedEx products, features of service, general operations.

Understanding of Canadian customs regulations.

Excellent human relations, customer relations, and communication skills.

Good analytical, problem solving, prioritization and organizational skills.

Ability to lift 70 lbs and to maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs.

Knowledge of local geography preferred.

EXCEL candidates preferred.


COMPÉTENCES ET APTITUDES REQUISES

Diplôme d’études secondaires ou l’équivalent.

Un (1) ans d’expérience comme conducteur de véhicules à conteneurs chez Federal Express. Permis de conduire en règle de classe AZ (classe 1) et bon dossier de conducteur.

Attestation de formation récente dans l’utilisation des freins pneumatiques avec test écrit, épreuve sur la route et examen médical régulier, conformément aux exigences du ministère des Transports.

Il est souhaitable de bien comprendre les services de FedEx, leurs modalités et le fonctionnement général de l’entreprise.

Comprendre la réglementation douanière canadienne.

Maîtriser avec excellence les relations humaines, le service à la clientèle et la communication.

Bien maîtriser l’analyse, la résolution de problème, les priorités et l’organisation.

Pouvoir soulever seul les colis de 70 lb et moins, et pouvoir manoeuvrer ceux allant jusqu’à 150 lb avec un appareil ou avec de l’aide.

Préférence accordée aux candidats connaissant la région.

  1. de leur dossier de conduite courant,
  2. des résultats de leur entrevue et
  3. des résultats de toute évaluation de leurs compétences de conducteur.
