VP, Student Success

Regular Full time


Duties: This position reports to the President. Its focus, overall, is College of the Rockies' vision of providing the best small college experience in Canada. Responsibilities include the design and delivery of a wide range of services to support student success: recruitment, registration and admissions; learning support and assessment; educational advising; counselling; health and wellness; accessibility services; college-to-career transition; housing; and student life and athletics. The VP has responsibility to provide leadership for Student Services functions while developing innovative strategies to support a student body that is growing in diversity, particularly for indigenous and International learners.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the VP Students will actively engage all members of the college community, championing an open and collaborative dialogue to support the development of a student-ready culture across College of the Rockies' multiple community campuses

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a related field is preferred, with a minimum of seven years of demonstrated experience in progressive leadership roles that align with the provision of student services, preferably within a post-secondary and/or public sector environment.
  • Demonstrated success in providing responsive and innovative student services.
  • Detailed knowledge of related legislation, regulations, governance structures, and policy including the B.C. College and Institute Act.
  • Experience working with marginalized or multi-barriered individuals with a demonstrated commitment to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion for all.
  • Experience with the development and administration of budgets

Salary: The starting annual salary is $155,649 to $207,532 for this Management Group position. Management Group employees are eligible for annual salary increases within and above the starting range through demonstrated performance.
