Key Accountabilities:  

Assist in the management and administration of the IBM Jazz Platform, Microsoft Power Platform, Azure cloud deployments, and virtual machines to ensure services are healthy and up-to-date. Provide support to users of these platforms, assisting with technical issues, providing guidance, recommendations, and training. Work with other system owners and administrators to resolve cross-functional issues. Design, plan, implement, and test system configurations, interfaces, and interconnections. Research and advise on best practices and requirements related to security, implementation, and configuration for both the IBM Jazz Platform, Microsoft Power Platform and other systems. Review and evaluate enhancements or changes for operational viability, recommending the acceptance or rejection of requests for change. Monitor and provide incident and change requests support to ensure service levels are met. Leads in the design and development of solutions appropriate to business and systems requirements within the target platform. Participates in peer reviews of technical specifications of client requirements and schedules.  Develop automations for common or repetitive tasks and develop code to support the reporting, configuration, and maintenance of systems and processes. Identify opportunities and assists in the research and recommendation of forward-thinking initiatives to advance functionality / performance and reduce costs. Provide accurate and timely Level of Effort (LOE) analysis estimates for requested solutions of varying sizes.  Participate in code-walkthroughs and provides feedback to other team members. Create clear, concise, and standard technical documentation for solutions and contribute to documentation prepared by other groups. Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving for new applications/system modifications, providing solutions that promote best practices and standard procedures.

Education/Occupational Certification:  

Graduated from a recognized university/college with a degree/certification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Systems, Math, Engineering or an acceptable combination of education, related experience, and training. 

Experience:  

Minimum 3 years experience as an Administrator for Systems and Platforms. Minimum 3 years developing automations and/or software applications. Minimum 3 years database expertise including DB administration and creating complex queries. Experience supporting, monitoring, and maintaining platforms and in-house developed software products. Proficiency with Patch Management processes. Experience writing technical specifications, operational procedures, test plans and test cases. Experience working on projects, defining functional and non-functional requirements, and participated in the design/implementation of technical solutions.

Knowledge:  

Comprehensive understanding of monitoring and maintaining systems to ensure interoperability, reliability, security, optimum performance levels, capacity, and configuration and security. Strong knowledge of Change Management and Quality Management processes and guidelines. Knowledge in various technologies including hardware and operating systems, active directory (or similar), middleware and cloud technologies, web applications, and reporting environments.  Knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies. Knowledge of the IBM Jazz Platform would be an asset. Knowledge of networks and sever configurations would be an asset.

Abilities:  

Verbal and written communication skills. Excellent testing & debugging skills. Technical skills and expertise in own functional area. Provide expert advice, guidance, and opinions in area of specialization. Coach others in field of expertise, problem solving, teamwork and innovation, relationship management issues.
