Who are we looking for as a Field Service Technician? Our Halifax branch is looking for a worker who's interested in the field of bio-medical (dental) device and equipment repair. The Service Technician will provide maintenance/repairs on a variety of dental equipment and products. The technician learns and follows manufacturer guidelines relative to the repair of devices.

Major Duties:

Independently respond to customer calls assigned to him, determine the nature of the problem for a particular module or component.

Determine the parts, supplies and tools needed to complete the service request.

Ensure that the standard response time established with the service coordinator is respected.

Load, deliver, install, configure and train customers on the basic use and maintenance of the equipment sold.

Use, maintain and secure test equipment and tools used to adjust, calibrate and repair equipment.

Complete all required documentation (time sheets, service orders, Radiation Protection Bureau forms, inventory and expense reports).

Return defective modules or parts to head office and identify items.

Maintain and stock the truck's parts inventory.

Perform any other tasks assigned to him.

Job qualifications:

Diploma in Electronics and/or Computer Science.

Valid driver's license and driving record.

Excellent organizational skills and good problem-solving skills.

Motivated worker with great team spirit and manual skills.

2 to 3 years of experience in TCP/IP networking.

2 to 3 years of field repair work experience in the dental or medical environment.

Experiences related to carpentry, electricity or electronics required.

Strong customer service skills required.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English.

Knowledge of SAP platform is an asset.
