Position Title: Employee Experience Specialist Reports To: Manager, Learning and Development
Department:
Human Resources Term: Permanent Full-Time

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement. In this role, the Employee Experience Specialist will be required to work more than the minimum requirement in office.

The Opportunity: Equitable is growing We are looking for an Employee Experience Specialist to join our growing Human Resources team

The Employee Experience Specialist will develop and execute the administration of a wide range of programs, activities, events, and initiatives that promote Equitable’s culture and employee engagement.

Additionally, this role will support the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to career development and offboarding to supporting the organizations’ ability to attract and retain talent.

The role is also crucial in the development, delivery, and sustainability of the organization’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

What you will be doing:

Develop and execute the administration of a wide range of programs, activities, events, and initiatives that promote our culture, employee engagement, retention, and development, including the EQ Together Days program and the Rewards and Recognition program. Collaborate with and support HR team members with employee lifecycle programs, activities, events, and initiatives including EQ Orientation and Growing Together events. Support the ongoing maintenance and development of people policies and guide people-related policies, procedures, and guidelines. Lead the Employee Resource Group and its various initiatives. Administer the Annual Employee Opinion Survey and analyze results to identify and execute applicable action items. Develop metrics for evaluating employee experience and create strategies to improve employee satisfaction in their roles. Strategize and develop programs relating to employee engagement and performance management across the company. Collaborate with HR team members and business leaders to understand their needs related to the employee experience by proactively interfacing with key stakeholders to understand, recommend and deploy effective solutions. Ensure the Company operates within the laws and regulations by which it is governed. Other duties as required.


What you will bring:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resource Development or a related field. 3-5 years of experience with rewards and recognition, culture development and/or diversity, equity, and inclusion Strong influencer with a track record of positive work culture initiatives Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Strong change management experience Strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail Strong consultative and collaborative approach Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve practical problems Resourceful, results-oriented with a people-first and agile mindset Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Strong data analytic skills - experience in measuring and evaluating impact experience French as a second language is an asset
