Objectif du rôle: Weir Marine Engineering a une opportunité enrichissante pour un Ajusteur (Installateur) Mécanique. Ce poste permanent à temps plein est basé à LaSalle, Montréal, Québec. Weir gère et exploite le Le Centre d’essais techniques (Mer) (CETM) pour le gouvernement du Canada depuis 1953. Le CETM soutient les Forces canadiennes par la prestation de services d’essai et d’évaluation indépendants et assurés par des experts de l’équipement naval.

Purpose of Role: Weir Marine Engineering has a rewarding opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter. This full-time permanent unionized position is based in LaSalle, Montreal, Quebec. Weir has managed and operated NETE on behalf of the Government of Canada since 1953. NETE currently employs over 400 personnel who provide independent and expert test and evaluation services to support the naval materiel for the Canadian Armed Forces.

Responsabilités principales:

Vous ferez partie intégrante d'une équipe dynamique composée de monteurs, d'ingénieurs et de techniciens chargés d'assembler et d'exploiter des bancs d'essais personnalisés pour les essais d'équipements et de systèmes, ainsi que pour la maintenance du bâtiment et de ses services. Il ne s’agit pas d’un environnement de production. Les affectations de postes sont donc variées et offrent des possibilités d’apprentissage continu. L'ajusteur mécanique travaillera à partir de dessins ou d'instructions verbales. Connaissance des systèmes pneumatiques et hydrauliques, ainsi que de la formation de chariots élévateurs / grues est un atout.

Key Responsibilities - Responsabilités principales
You will be an integral part of a dynamic team of Fitters, Engineers and Technicians responsible for the assembly and operation of custom test rigs for testing of equipment and systems, as well as supporting maintenance of the building and its services. This is not a production environment, so job assignments are varied and offer opportunities for continual learning. The mechanical fitter will work from drawings or verbal instruction. Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, as well as forklift / crane training is an asset.
 

Connaissances professionnelles, formation et qualifications:

Posséder un Diplôme d’études professionnelles (DEP) jumelé à trois à cinq ans d’expérience récente dans un poste associé à la mécanique ou aux essais; ou

Posséder une certification de mécanicien de marine avec les Forces canadiennes jumelé à trois à cinq ans d’expérience récente;

Posséder un Certificat restreint en connexion d’appareillage (RCA) serait un atout;

Sécurité d'abord: Démontrer un engagement à 100 % en faveur de nos comportements zéro danger en soutien à notre volonté de développer une culture de sécurité de classe mondiale.

Obtention d'une cote de sécurité du gouvernement du Canada, qui exige la citoyenneté canadienne et la résidence continue au Canada au cours des 10 dernières années au minimum.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications :

Successful completion of a DEP (Vocational High School Diploma) and five years recent and relevant experience; or

Certification as Marine Engineering Mechanic with the Canadian Forces and five years recent experience;

Successful completion of the Certificat restreint en connexion d’appareillage (RCA) would be an asset;

Eligible to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance (requires Canadian citizenship and 10 years of residence in Canada).
