Job Title: Assembler Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Assembler Fitter to join our team at CAE. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the assembly, installation, and maintenance of non-mechanical and mechanical components for our simulators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and procedures to perform assembly, installation, and maintenance work.
  • Perform modification, repair, and assembly work on non-mechanical components, including installation of fasteners and rivets.
  • Assemble, adjust, and install mechanical, electromechanical, and hydraulic components for our simulators.
  • Perform preliminary manufacturing and assembly work required for installing visual systems, including assembly, alignment, and installation of mirror retainer systems.
  • Use measuring instruments, assembly tools, and cutting and shaping machine tools to perform tasks.
  • Install and adjust optical components, including mirrors, and detect flaws and imperfections on installed parts.
Requirements:
  • Professional Study Diploma in Aircraft Sheet Metal or Aircraft Structural Assembly, or equivalent combination of qualifications.
  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in assembly, installation, and maintenance work.
  • Familiarity with spot welding procedure, precision standards, and occupational health and safety standards.
  • Functional French language proficiency.
  • Ability to work evening or night shifts.
