Job Title: Assembler Fitter

CAE is seeking a skilled Assembler Fitter to join our team. As an Assembler Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling, adjusting, and installing mechanical, electromechanical, and hydraulic components for our simulators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret work guidelines, procedures, plans, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
  • Perform modification, repair, and assembly work on non-mechanical components for the non-simulated section of the simulator.
  • Assemble, adjust, and install mechanical, electromechanical, and hydraulic components for the simulator.
  • Perform preliminary manufacturing and assembly work for installing visual systems, including preparatory work on visual system mirrors and assembly of mirror retainer systems.
  • Install structural and optical components of visual systems, including adjusting mirrors and detecting flaws and imperfections.
  • Use measuring instruments, assembly tools, and cutting and shaping machine tools to perform tasks.
  • Install fasteners and rivets according to drawings and work procedures.
  • Produce rolled and embossed parts.
Requirements:
  • Professional Study Diploma in Aircraft Sheet Metal or Aircraft Structural Assembly, or equivalent combination of qualifications.
  • Minimum 6 months of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with spot welding procedure.
  • Familiarity with precision standards and occupational health and safety standards, especially WHMIS.
  • Functional French language proficiency.
  • Flexibility to work evening or night shifts.
