Reporting to the Social Media Manager, you will play a key role supporting our evergreen content and campaigns across a global community of millions across our social media channels. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with various marketing functions, while contributing to growing our online presence and channel engagement. We’re looking for a social media aficionado who would love nothing more than talk about stories and their writers all day Coupled with a love of pop culture, entertainment, and reading and writing, you will help us ensure Wattpad is talked about and loved the world over. 

What you'll be doing:

Assist in executing social media marketing initiatives across Meta, TikTok, X, and Pinterest using social, marketing and product tools ( Sprinklr, Asana, AppsFlyer, Canva, and native social media platforms)  Work closely with the Creative team and content creators to brief in creative concepts Help coordinate social media content and campaigns using project management tools, including working with stakeholders to ensure they input, review, and approve marketing tactics on time Use social listening to monitor and identify opportunities for community engagement to support channel growth and brand awareness Work closely with Brand Safety to ensure community concerns and issues raised on social media channels are escalated appropriately Stay up-to-day on social trends, tools, best practices and have a point of view on emerging new social channels in order to surface insights and learnings to help optimize content and engagement

What we’re looking for:

A highly engaged Wattpadder Passion for the platform, Wattpad stories, and their creators is a must Educational or working experience in marketing/communications Strong organizational or project management skills You can demonstrate an understanding of social media channels and have a point of view on which brands are doing amazing work in social You are comfortable with data and can glean learning and insights from numbers -- you can calculate clickthrough rates, conversion rates and engagement rates with ease An eagerness to take initiative and an ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease. Ability to work from Toronto HQ occasionally (1-2 times/month) for content creation is preferred, but not required. $18 - $19 an hourWattpad is conducting all interviews in a distributed manner using applicable third party software where needed and using visual interface tools such as Google Hangouts and Zoom.
