For more than 27 years, we provided professional customer service and outstanding care to residents of long-term care, assisted living, and Community Homes for Opportunity (CHO) from across the province. We take pride in what we do and we look forward to working with new staff members that will continue to reflect that image and service to our clients for many years to come.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process all refill prescriptions electronically requested and check IVR voicemail messages.
- Contact prescribers verbally or via fax for clarifications and various functions.
- Process invoices received from the wholesaler and print them to be ready once the order is received.
- Process weekly batching, printing hard copy reports, and new refill authorization.
- Enter new or changed prescriptions in blister packs.
- Collaborate with the pharmacist on duty to provide efficient dispensary and pharmacy services.
Specific Requirements:
- Experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician is an asset.
- Exceptional and professional customer service to our clients, and members of the care team, ensuring superb service at all times.
- Self-directed with the ability to work both independently and collaborate with the pharmacy team.
Preferred:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) in good standing, is optional.
- Experienced Pharmacy Assistant with minimum 1-3 years of experience in a pharmacy.
- Experience in the billing & third-party adjudication, ideal on Kroll, but not a must.
- Some knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is optional.
