O'Hanlon Paving a proud member of The Fath Group of Companies,has been a key player in the Edmonton, road construction industry for over 65 years. We pride ourselves in the quality of our finished projects, our strong safety culture, and our opportunities for employee development. We are currently looking for enthusiastic & experienced base crew personnel (roller operators, labourers, packers, medium duty trucks, mixers and other heavy duty equipment operators) to work seasonally in a full-time capacity, in various locations throughout Edmonton. The successful candidate must be able to align with the company's core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect.

*Responsibilities:

Assist the crews with equipment operating or labourer dutiesPerform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour Safe operation of equipmentWork with minimal supervisionPerform daily safety and maintenance checksOther duties as required

Qualifications:

Some experience in the operation of construction type base-operations related equipment will be an assetSome labourer experience assisting crews and operating base equipment will be requiredknowledge of municipal road building industry will be an assetAbility to work continuously for prolonged periods of time is requiredInterest in training & learning equipment for growth opportunity is requiredMust possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle to commute to job sitesHigh attention to detail, ability to always communicate in a courteous and professional manner and ability to follow directions is requiredAbility to work in various weather conditionsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentWillingness and ability to work extended hours and weekendsValid safety certifications

Additional Information:

This position is eligible for over-time.Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required.Training will be provided for various activities.We offer excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months with the possibility of continuing your benefits during the winter months (off-season).There is potential for on-call work during the winter months during snow removal and early spring sweeping season.
