Job Description

Site:  Princess Margaret Cancer Centre
Department:  Ambulatory Clinics
Reports to:  Nurse Manager
Work Model: On-Site
Grade: PU7
Wage Range:  $ – per hour (start rate is non-negotiable and in accordance with collective agreement requirements)
Hours:  8 Hour Shifts
Shifts:  4 pm - 8 pm
Status:  Temporary Part-Time (End Date ~ Sept 13, 2024)
Closing Date:  July 4, 2024 

Position Summary

The Support Partner is a valuable member of our team, playing a critical role in assisting direct patient caregivers and managing the Clinic’s functionality.

Duties

Provides assistance to direct patient caregivers through the performance of specific activities related to the maintenance of the Clinic, including: cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing instruments Setting up clinic areas; Transporting X-rays, charts, etc. Patients support activities Environmental support activities Transportation support activities Other duties directly related with the proper maintenance of the Clinic

Qualifications

Completion of a secondary school diploma program Experience with housekeeping, portering and/or unit aide Evidence of ability to lift heavy objects Good interpersonal and customer service skills Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as a team player Evidence of good independent initiative Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision Good organization and time management skills Previous Hospital experience Experience in a teaching hospital environment preferred
