Kap Paper Inc is seeking a Superintendent to oversee planning and direction for the Site Services area. The role involves optimizing processes to deliver site and electrical maintenance services in the most cost-effective way, supporting the production of pulp and newsprint. This position ensures the Site Services team aligns with the principles and objectives outlined in the Results Management Framework. Commitment:

Responsibilities:
- Promote and provide a safe workplace, seek improvements, and support Health & Safety.
- Lead a motivated, efficient, and engaged team of direct reports.
- Provide career development opportunities.
- Coach and mentor employees to ensure maximum performance.
- Ensure maintenance services are effectively planned, co-ordinated and delivered on time, while meeting cost and quality standards.
- Maintain and improve an effective preventative maintenance standard to ensure maximum efficiency and performance of mill equipment.
- Report to Maintenance Manager.
- Manage the Filter Plant, the mill’s power system to ensure that processes are in place to prove continuous water and power safely and efficiently at minimum cost within environmental guidelines.
- Ensure E/I areas are manned with a capable workforce by applying succession planning systems, coaching, accountable leadership practice and training.
- Recommend improvements and/or changes to the maintenance management system and standards.
- Ensure compliance with all safety / environmental legislation and take corrective action as required.
- Maintain an effective cost reduction program.
- Identify opportunities or risks related to manufacturing or processes and work effectively with colleagues to take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Language: English (spoken and written) and French would be considered an asset.
- Education: University degree – Electrical or College equivalent.
- Experience: 10+ years preferred.
