JobSummary: The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the dailyoperations of our mattress manufacturing facility. This roleinvolves managing production ensuring quality and achievingefficiency goals while maintaining a safe work environment. ThePlant Manager will lead a team of supervisors technicians andproduction staff implementing best practices in manufacturingquality control and teamdevelopment.
KeyResponsibilities:
OperationalManagement: Plan organize and manage the overall production processensuring compliance with quality standards production schedules andcost targets.
Monitor andoptimize production workflow resource allocation and machineryusage to maximize efficiency. Ensure effective implementation oflean manufacturing principles and continuous improvementstrategies.
Team Leadership:Oversee recruitment training and development of production andsupervisory staff to build a high performing team. Foster apositive workplace culture with a strong focus on teamworkaccountability and safety. Conduct performance evaluations provideconstructive feedback and establish individual and team performancegoals.
Health and SafetyCompliance: Develop and implement safety policies and practices tominimize workplace hazards and comply with local and federalregulations. Conduct regular safety audits provide training andensure that all employees follow safetyprotocols.
inventory and SupplyChain Coordination: Ensure efficient mana8ement of inventory andraw materials coordinating with purchasing and supply chain teamsto prevent shortages and delays. optimize inventory levels workingclosely with logistics to meet customer deliveryschedules.
Qualifications:Bachelor s degree in industrial engineering operations ManagementManufacturing or a related field. Proven experience (5 years) in amanufacturing plant management role preferably within the mattressor similar industry. Strong understanding of production planninglean manufacturing and quality management systems. Demonstratedleadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.Proficiency in production management software ERP systems and dataanalysis tools. Excellent problemsolving skills with a proactiveapproach to identifying and addressing operational challenges.Knowledge of health safety and environmental regulations in amanufacturing setting.
PreferredSkills: Lean Six Sigma certification. Experience with inventory andsupply chain management. Familiarity with automated manufacturingtechnologies.
