Job Description

Veolia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of our plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, cost-effective, profitable, efficient, and reliable operation of the facility.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Safety: Establish and maintain a strong safety culture among employees, ensuring all activities are completed safely and in accordance with Veolia's safety standards.
  2. Profit and Loss Management: Oversee the financial performance of the plant, preparing budgets and forecasts, and investigating and explaining financial deviations.
  3. Client and Contract Management: Ensure Veolia's plant operations meet contractual requirements, creating regular reports and communicating with clients.
  4. Operation and Maintenance of the Plant: Oversee the efficient, safe, and compliant operations and maintenance of the plant, establishing and reviewing operating procedures.
  5. Employee Management: Manage the effective, compliant, and foresight management of employees, monitoring timesheets, defining SMART goals, and assessing performance.
  6. Risk Management: Implement risk management initiatives to mitigate major risks affecting the plant and contract.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or other engineering discipline, or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of experience in waste treatment operations or similar.
  • At least 10 years of experience in managing a team of people.
  • At least 10 years of experience in managing a plant or similar.
  • Experience in plant maintenance.
  • AD plant experience highly regarded.
