About the Senior Product Marketing Manager, Growth role
We’re looking for a growth-minded product marketing manager with a blend of technical and creative skills and a passion for experimentation to champion our small business strategy at Float. You will report to the Director of Product Marketing and be an integral part of an ambitious cross-functional growth team composed of marketers, product managers, and engineers. In this role, you will be directly responsible for driving outcomes within a well-defined customer segment and will be contributing significantly to Float’s next phase of growth. You will own or report against exec-level metrics like – time to onboard, product adoption, upsell rate. Your efforts will enhance our product’s ability to serve SMBs across Canada, ensuring they receive tailored solutions that meet their unique business finance needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the Float Customer Journey for SMBs: Design and build comprehensive cross-channel campaigns and always-on flows for the post-acquisition customer lifecycle, ensuring alignment with core PLG objectives and metrics.
- Create Engaging Content and Communications: Produce compelling content and polished communications that resonate with our ICP, driving engagement and action through every touchpoint.
- Leverage Data and Automation: Utilize data analytics and marketing automation tools (Hubspot, Intercom, Appcues, etc.) to better understand user journeys, segment audiences, and deliver personalized experiences that enhance customer experience and achieve business outcomes.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work within a closely knit cross-functional growth team to rapidly iterate on user experiences that drive activation and adoption, while planning marketing activities in alignment with broader business goals and customer needs.
- A/B Testing and Experimentation: Generate and test hypotheses using A/B tests and other experiments to determine the effectiveness of lifecycle strategies. Surface and share key learnings and recommendations with wider GTM and product teams.
- Be the Voice of the Customer: Take a human-centered approach to everything you ship, acting as a driving force for qualitative customer research within the cross-functional growth team. Understand and advocate for the importance of customer feedback and qualitative insights, and be a champion for your customer segment within the growth team and across the broader organization.
Requirements
- You've got the experience. You bring to the table 7+ years of experience in marketing or product for B2B SaaS and/or fintech, and specific expertise in lifecycle automation and PLG go-to-market motions. Prior experience in a product marketing role or working within a product marketing team is a bonus.
- You’re a marketing automation subject matter expert. You’re comfortable working with data, as well as CRM, marketing automation and customer communication software, with the ability to jump in and learn new tools as needed. Direct experience operating as a full-stack lifecycle marketer, leading cross-channel initiatives from ideation to execution is ideal for this role.
- You're customer-obsessed and data-oriented. You are customer-obsessed and data-oriented, actively seeking new insights to inform your strategies and measure your impact. By leveraging market feedback and customer insights, you can connect Float products with our customers at key touchpoints, continually experimenting and iterating to drive growth.
- You balance the technical and the creative. With excellent written and verbal communication skills, you can independently craft compelling marketing content for multiple formats. You know how to tell a story and tailor your messaging to resonate with diverse audiences.
- You're tenacious and results-driven – without ego. You are comfortable with aggressive goals, and have a reputation for working tenaciously to smash them. You have demonstrated your ability to drive product adoption through thoughtful campaigns, in-app experiences, email content and frontline team enablement.
- You have a track record of cross-functional partnership. You excel in working with teams across different domains, product, rev/ops and customer success, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to customer experience. You can manage stakeholders at all levels, from individual contributors to senior executives. Experience driving executive-level conversations is essential.
- You’re an owner. You set a high bar for yourself and others, and enjoy fostering a culture of excellence. You’re eager to roll-up your sleeves to get building and create immediate impact.
This role won’t be a fit if:
- You prefer a highly structured work environment
- You are not super detail-oriented
- You are not comfortable working collaboratively and cross-functionally
- You are not comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities
- You are uncomfortable with receiving and giving direct feedback
- You are uncomfortable with change
- You aren’t resilient
- You have an ego
- You aren’t extremely passionate about helping Float build the best business finance platform for Canadian companies and teams
Don’t meet every single requirement? If you’re excited about this role, and you strongly align with our values but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be the right candidate for this, or other future positions.
