The InternationalStudent Recruitment Department ensures adherence to academic regulations andprocesses that facilitate the provision of valued credentials. A strategicpartner in program and student success, the Student Recruitment Team championsNAIT’s educational model and provides subject matter expertise on admissions,enrolment, and student information system solutions and data. NAIT StudentRecruitment is often the first point of contact for prospective students intheir journey to NAIT. Student Recruitment helps prospective studentsunderstand NAIT’s programs, the admissions process, and the campus community.

Reporting to the InternationalStudent Recruitment Manager, and working closely with the recruitment team,Peer Recruitment Assistants support prospective international and domesticstudents by engaging with them through online channels and both virtual andin-person recruitment events. By sharing their experiences at NAIT, PeerRecruitment Assistants will help prospective students understand if NAIT is agood fit for their postsecondary studies.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent NAIT by replying to onlinemessages, and or live chat with prospective students through a virtual peerrecruitment platform. Create photo and video content withcaptions to be shared through the peer recruitment platform and marketingchannels such as the NAIT website and social media platforms. Answer and build frequently askedquestions and responses to support prospective students in applying to NAIT. Assist in organizing and deliveringvirtual and on-campus recruitment events and presentations such as Open Houseand Program Previews. Facilitate virtual and in-personcampus tours.

Skills& Abilities:

Ability to clearly communicate theiracademic and student life experiences at NAIT to a variety of prospectivestudents (domestic and international). Basic knowledge of the NAIT campus,student services, and opportunities to participate in the campus community. Ability to communicate in a clear,concise matter both verbally and in writing and adapt communication for variousaudiences. Strong interest in developing photo,video and written content for the peer recruitment platform and social media. Ability to work independently and aspart of a team Demonstrated student leadership,organizational, and strong interpersonal skills. Willingness to develop publicspeaking skills. Demonstrated interculturalunderstanding and awareness.

Qualifications:

Enrolled at NAIT as a student for Fall 2024 and Winter2025 and in good academic standing. Completion of grade twelve Some related experience Equivalencies may be considered.

Applicants witheducation credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentialsevaluated by World Education Services or the International QualificationsAssessment Service (IQAS).

Remuneration : $19.02 - $24.74 per hour, plus 12% in lieu of statholidays and vacation accrual. (Classification – Admin Support II). 

Thisposition is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE)Collective Agreement.
