Our client is one of the world’s leading generic pharmaceutical companies.

The Senior Director of Application Delivery is responsible for overall technical leadership, application delivery, Computer System Validation and support of Enterprise and critical applications. As a senior leader, they will work with the CIO to formulate the Global Information Services strategy on enabling the business strategy and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess current state, formulate and implement a strategy to streamline and simplify the application portfolio to prepare for a move to the cloud. Evolve the current structure from a federated to a global model to drive consistency, simplicity and efficiencies. Build roadmap to prepare the organization for the upgrade of the global SAP system to cloud-based S/4HANA. Lead and deliver on the program, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption to operations. Drive the development and adoption of digital leadership capability throughout the organization Provide global strategy and leadership on solutions that are practical, flexible, scalable, reusable, strategic and are achieved through the application of industry proven architectural principles, standards and governance Responsible for establishing and maintaining the global vision, strategy, and program to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected. Oversee and direct efforts in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining processes across the enterprise to reduce IT risks. Develop and drive global enterprise applications delivery teams to consistently improve speed of delivery and ensure information flows in teams are appropriate to facilitate workflow, reduce cycle time and deliver high quality solutions.

The successful candidate brings proven success leading enterprise wide, large scale technology projects, and large cross-portfolio teams in an SAP environment, along with significant depth managing vendor relationships and ensuring value for money.Ideally, they will have gained experience within the application delivery function of a tier-one, mid-large size public company with an international manufacturing footprint. Experience within the pharmaceutical industry and/PE environment would be an asset. The successful candidate is a driven and dedicated executive that can work successfully in a fast-paced private equity environment.
