The Opportunity:

The City of Red Deer is currently recruiting for a WaterTreatment Plant Supervisor to fill a permanent full-time position. The Water Treatment Plant Supervisor isresponsible for the supervision of and the day-to-day operations of the WaterTreatment Plants, pump stations and reservoirs. This management position oversees the maintenance and safety of theoperations, as well as additional responsibilities involving special projects,budgeting and public relations.

As our preferred candidate, youwill have:

A Professional Engineer designation registered with Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta with a B.Sc. in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering is preferred. Diploma in Civil, Chemical or EnvironmentalEngineering Technology or an Alberta Environment Level 4 Water TreatmentCertificate Technologist registered with Alberta Society ofEngineering Technologists or Level 4 Water Treatment Certificate registeredwith Alberta Environment Four years Water Treatment Plant experience in projectdevelopment, operations, maintenance
Two Years Supervisory experience Extensive Water Treatment Plant Process Knowledge Extensive knowledge of water treatment operations andmaintenance methods and practices Supervisory experience in a fast-paced environmentwith changing priorities

Exempt

Remuneration:

$44.66 to $60.30 per hour; ($87,428 to $118,028 perannum).

Note: The education and experience of the successful candidate will determine placement within the salary range for this position.

Hours of Work:

75hours biweekly; Monday to Friday, evenings andweekend work will be required when needed.
