Crossing Guards are responsible for directing and escorting school-aged pedestrians safely across the street.

 Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Enjoy working outdoors and can work during all weather conditions.
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Have access to transportation as you may be placed at different areas within the City.
  • Must obtain and maintain a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Record Check, at the candidates own expense (not required for application, applicable upon offer of role)
  • Available shifts are between 7:00am to 9:15am and/or 2:00pm to 4:00pm.  Also, some crossings have a lunchtime shift from 10:30am to 12:00pm.
  •  Bilingual would be an asset.
