As Building Services Manager, you are a caretaker of this vision, responsible for overall building maintenance – including the upkeep and appearance of our property. This includes:

Performing and logging building maintenance, such as cleaning, painting, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and snow-removal work. Triaging maintenance and work orders in a timely and professional manner using an in-house software system. Responding to building emergencies, including floods and equipment breakdowns. Managing and procuring maintenance supplies and trades. Conducting suite inspections and moving furniture as needed, along with repair work, carpet cleaning, painting and other in-suite tasks. You’re a respected facility manager with five to 10 years of experience as handyperson in a senior-living or hospitality environment, including supervising employees and/or contractors. You lead by demonstrating excellent decision-making, customer service and participative management abilities. You have knowledge and experience with all types of building equipment, electrical and mechanical systems, including kitchen equipment. You possess a Facility Management or Class 5 Power Engineering certification. You have a basic understanding of physical plant operations, maintenance and trouble-shooting of major systems. You are a critical thinker who is responsive and priority-sensitive; able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. You understand and respect the needs of seniors, their families, and and other professional services engaged with our residents.
At PARC Retirement Living we understand the importance of immunization to protect our residents, team members and visitors from COVID-19. A such, a prerequisite of employment is that all new hires are fully vaccinated as approved by Health Canada. We also require a Criminal Record Check, and a TB test within the first month of employment.
