Professional Services Group Broking Leader

Join our industry-leading team in Canada and help deliver innovative and effective solutions for our clients as a Broking Leader on our National Broking team at Aon. As a part of this team, you will report directly to our Managing Director Broking and play a key role in empowering results for our clients.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Toronto office.

What the day will look like
Oversee the ongoing management of the National Professional Services team to support the delivery of client service excellence Ensuring delivery on Professional Services Group business plan objectives designed to enhance our value proposition and deliver on our key growth strategiesDevelop and implement optimum product and placement strategies defined by strata and appropriate segment to address specific client needs. Execute these “go to market” strategies.Data management. Develop / execute a plan around PSG data to support client decisions and “go to market” strategies.Effective market management through a systematic process, foster keys relationships at various levels of insurers and develop new insurer capacityManuscript and bespoke wording strategies, working in conjunction with the Legal and Research practice. Support our client value proposition and reduce E&Os. Training of team members on technical topics.Develop global network to assist with added client value Creating and communicating PSG’s product and service expertise through presentations, panel discussions and educational events, both internally and externally Building internal and external relationships through demonstrated competency, understanding of the clients’ business, and a transparent, consultative style On key and critical accounts identified, working in collaboration with Senior Leadership to:Build and maintain ongoing strategic C level customer relationshipProvide consultative service to the key decision makers, which are typically the CFO, Chief Counsel or Board members (e.g. head of Audit Committee)Manage complex sales situations and acquire clients based on “value based selling” Managing the operational and fiscal activities of the department which include talent management, budgets and attainment of financial goals Analyzing business processes and problems and accordingly, develop solutions to enhance efficiencies Coordinating and implementing solutions for process analysis and general department projects Communicating with other functional departments units to ensure proper service and quality levels are maintained.Talent Management:
Building the experience, knowledge and capabilities of the broking resources into collaborative, successful team Working collaboratively with Senior Leadership and HR Managers to foster a positive employee environment that is receptive to change In conjunction with Human Resources, determining and deploying effective succession planning, performance management, learning and development solutions, including structured mentorship programs How this opportunity is different
As part of Aon’s Specialty Broking, you will be joining a well versed, collaborative national team supporting our clients coast to coast. Within this role, you will be leading a team of technical brokers focused on Professional Liability risk transfer. This role also provides you the opportunity to manage a cross section of small to large clients in various industries, develop “go to market” strategies, carrier relationships, and support sales initiatives.
