ABOUT THE ASSOCIATE PROGRAM

The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for students entering the final year of their undergraduate program who are interested in learning from industry-leading professionals and exploring what it means to be a part of Canada’s only Major League Baseball team.

Students will join a cohort of summer associates, including participants across a variety of departments. With a focus on developing the next generation of Blue Jays leaders, the Associate Program will give students access to cohort-specific learning, social, and mentorship opportunities, including a cross-departmental mentor within the organization who will support them throughout the program.

Over the summer, candidates will gain valuable real-world experience in the sports industry, and discover what it means to be a part of the Toronto Blue Jays team here at Rogers Centre.

ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIPS TEAM

The Toronto Blue Jays’ Partnerships team is responsible for developing & executing integrated marketing partnerships with top-tier brands. Our team builds customized marketing solutions that drive business results for our partners and help grow the Blue Jays brand across Canada. We work collaboratively with teams across the organization to develop meaningful pitches for prospective clients, and to bring each of our partnerships to life whether that be at Rogers Centre or in communities across the country.

RESPONSIBILITIES

During the four months, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, which may include the following:

Connect insights to ideas: Use brand & fan research to create authentic & impactful partnership campaigns that achieve our partner’s business objectives and help grow the Blue Jays brand Collaborate with team members and other departments to develop partnership programs that enhance the experience of Blue Jays fans at Rogers Centre and across Canada Support in the day-to-day management of the Partnership team’s portfolio of research and insights tools to track results for existing partners and to identify potential opportunities for new partners Support the development of external-facing documents such as new business & renewal proposals Support annual planning and special projects through research and the development of internal-facing reports. Identify trends and best practices in the sports marketing/sponsorship industry to incorporate within our business Conduct market and competitive research

QUALIFICATIONS

Currently enrolled in post secondary education with expected graduation in 2026 Strong critical thinker with good communication skills Ability to analyze data/insights and articulate findings in a contextually relevant way Hard worker who brings a positive attitude to the workplace every day Team player with a willingness and curiosity to learn Able to multitask and prioritize Able to interpret and analyze data to support decision-making Passionate about solving challenging business problems Baseball knowledge and passion for the game a plus
