PASSIONATE ● COLLABORATIVE ● INNOVATIVE ● RESULTS-DRIVEN ● STRATEGIC

OVERVIEW

A leading non-profit and charitable community agency dedicated to serving children, youth, and families from diverse backgrounds and communities across Ontario struggling with complex mental health needs. They work collaboratively through active partnerships between the agency, youth, and families to create meaningful engagement and effective treatment, resulting in positive outcomes.

EDI-B VALUES

The success of an organization stems from a team that is aligned with its mission and vision, where decisions are made in the best interests of the clients they serve and the marginalized and vulnerable populations across our communities. Through this effort, all team members embrace their roles in the organization with respect and dignity for all stakeholders. Through these partnerships, everyone is focused on ensuring a commitment and responsibility toward anti-racism, anti-oppression, equity, diversity, inclusivity, and belonging.

MISSION

The Manager, Children & Youth On-Call Supports will be instrumental in supporting staff in managing arising situations including code responses while providing direction on treatment.  A key component of this role will be to ensure timely and accurate documentation for incident and serious occurrence reporting.  The individual must be committed to the innovative, team-based models that support our evidence-based care, which ensures that services are time-limited to case management, community outreach and advocacy.

The Pod Group is partnering with this organization to place a compassionate, analytic and hands-on leader to fulfill the role of the Manager, Children & Youth On-Call Supports.

PRIORITIES

  • Lead the development and implementation of on-call support planning using evidence-based best practices in partnership with clients, families, and professionals in the community.

  • Identify and address any challenges or opportunities connected to the delivery of care and services.
  • Support the team to recognize clients' complex needs and assist the staff in crisis care including restraints and preventative care in de-escalation techniques.
  • Attend and provide leadership in various forums such as leadership meetings, team meetings, case conferences, plan of care, client progress meetings, and quality improvement meetings.
  • Ensure that support, supervision, evaluation, and training are provided to staff.
  • Foster positive interpersonal relationships with staff, residents, visitors, outside agencies, government officials, and related professional associations as required.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and standards of professional practice with respective regulatory bodies (e.g., Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Registered Psychotherapists, College of Nurses of Ontario, MCCSS,MOH, Auditor, Accreditation, etc.).
  • Maintain and adhere to all relevant legislation, organizational and occupational health and safety policies and procedures, and the mission, vision, and philosophy of the agency.
  • Lead and support staff in managing trauma-informed approaches with children and youth across the organization.
