Description
Located in the Calgary office, the individual in the Treasury Coordinator role will report to the Manager, Corporate Accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounting for Inter Pipeline’s cash and intercompany within Inter Pipeline’s centre function.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
Perform cash applications for all Canadian and US entities Prepare cash clearing account reconciliations for all Canadian and US entities, and other Corporate balance sheet account reconciliations. Resolve related issues on a timely basis Perform journal entries for treasury-related transactions including, but not limited to, cash applications, debt, equity, dividends and derivatives Manage intercompany accounts for the Canadian and US entities Coordinate quarter-end timeline to ensure all deliverables are completed prior to SAP close Perform ad-hoc analysis and internal reporting as required Support internal and external audit queries as required Act as backup for vacation coverage of other accountants and complete special projects as requiredEducation, Skills and Experience
4 to 6 years of applicable industry experience in a treasury, corporate accounting, or directly related role.Experience with cash clearing/ cash management considered an asset Previous experience with SAP considered an asset Possess strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to set and meet challenging deadlines and work independently Ability to work well in fast-paced, growth environment Experience with working through large number of transactions on monthly basis Knowledge and experience in accounting under IFRS considered an assetHours
Full time: Monday to Friday; 40 hours per week, on site.
As this position is identified as security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of pre-employment criminal background check and education verification with satisfactory results.
