KEY JOB FUNCTIONS / ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides day to day support and counseling to supervisors and employees on retention, training and development, compensation and benefits, legislative and policy compliance, performance management, termination and severance
  • Promotes positive employee relations through superior customer service, communication and execution of employee programs
  • Assists in the development of Human Resources programs and implements initiatives to support compliance, performance, retention and engagement of the workforce

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience with a focus on generalist support
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline, CHRP designation preferred
  • Experience in food processing/manufacturing environment an asset
  • Ability to work independently while demonstrating the ability to exercise mature judgment, organization and prioritization
  • Working knowledge of employment and health and safety legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve sensitive and complex employee issues
  • Demonstrated change management and conflict resolution skills
  • Client service focused with the ability to prioritize needs
  • Strong ability to communicate well with team and influence at various levels
  • Knowledgeable in employment and health and safety legislation
