Qualifications
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in nursing, education or an applicable discipline plus a minimum of five (5) years recent related work experience clinical perinatal experience, healthcare quality improvement and knowledge translation) required. Individuals with a postgraduate degree (nursing, medicine, public health, PhD in a related discipline) may be preferred.Skills & Knowledge
Knowledge and experience in development of Knowledge Translation theories, principles and practice. Demonstrated ability in developing educational tools and documents with a focus on perinatal care. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels, both internal and external to PHSA. Demonstrated ability in leading change, inspiring and engaging others, and promoting innovation; ability to build and maintain effective relationships. Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills including the ability to present information in concise and meaningful ways. Demonstrated ability to establish courses of action for self and others that are results oriented. Knowledge of and experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019). As a strong asset for consideration, we are looking for our successful candidate to have: Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities of settler colonialism on Indigenous Peoples and familiarity with addressing Indigenous-specific anti-racism, anti-racism and Indigenous Cultural Safety and foundational documents and legislative commitments (The Declaration Act, the Declaration Action Plan, TRC, IPS, Remembering Keegan, etc.).What we bring
