What you will do
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering Design Team as we are actively recruiting for a Turnkey Systems Designer . The designer is responsible for developing 3D designs and processes that provide practical solutions that support our customers requirements. Solutions include but are not limited to design of jigs and fixtures; end of arm tools; pierce and form dies. Applications consist of projection & resistant spot welding; gas metal arc welding; drawn arc stud welding; sealant and adhesive; self clinching fasteners and joining technology.

What we’re looking for
Self-motivated, collaborative professional with a zest for design A Team player who will work within a flexible design group environment while interfacing with Robotics Simulation, Controls Design, Project Management, Mechanical Build and Detailing staff to complete assigned tasks An aptitude to complete 3D designs, generate Bill of Materials (BOM) for purchasing and manufacturing requirements Five (5) plus years’ experience in the machinery automation or tool and die field as a designer or trades personWhat you need to succeed
Engineering degree/ diploma or related industry experience 2D & 3D CAD modelling software experience desirable (AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCad preferred) Familiarity with CAD Software API’s in order to perform CAD design operations using iLogic / Visual Basic code an asset Innovative, creative, attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities Mechanical talent, with a willingness to work “hands on” when requiredCommitment to our People
