We have an exciting opportunity to join our Team as we are actively recruiting for General Machinist Apprentice. The successful candidate will register in the General Machinist Apprenticeship Program at St. Clair College beginning September 2024, pending application processing and course availability.

What we’re looking for:

Fulfill requirements of apprenticeship contract as per the Ministry of Education and Training guidelines Complete tasks and assignments within the trade under the direction of a journeyperson or independently Complete theoretical training as per government regulation and pass required exams Utilize the accepted principles of machine shop safety Interpret and use trade-related reference charts and tables Calculate geometrical values necessary in the trade Read and use mechanical components and assembly prints Select, use, and maintain trade related hand and bench tools, measuring instruments, and devices Apply the principles of metal cutting to work pieces and cutting tools Set up, operate, and maintain manual lathes, manual mills, CNC lathes, and CNC mills
What you need to succeed: Secondary school diploma Manufacturing experience an asset
