About the Opportunity
We're looking for a motivated engineering student with a drive for continuous improvement to join our team in St. Brieux. We're hiring a Production/Tooling Design Engineering Intern, beginning in May 2025 for a 12 or 16 month term.
In this role, you will:
Design processes or tooling to improve safety, quality, productivity or cost issues Develop, maintain, and support a continuous improvement culture using lean manufacturing tools, focusing on the elimination of waste while striving to provide increased value to our customers, both internal and external Manage projects aimed at improving process flow while optimizing space, quality, safety, and ergonomics Gauge production performance, identify bottlenecks and suggest/implement changes as required Develop and document standard work, including work methods and cell layouts Conduct time studies to develop base times or evaluate different processes
About You
To qualify, you will need to be enrolled in an engineering program (mechanical/industrial focus is preferred)and be eligible for your college's internship/coop program.
The following qualifications will be needed to successfully perform this role:
Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft office and 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and concepts Effective interpersonal and communication skills High degree of analytical thought and creativity Effective troubleshooting & problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Experience in the manufacturing industry is an asset Willing to (temporarily) relocate to St. Brieux, SK.
