We’re on the lookout for a new Group Business Director; a person with drive, passion and energy to create something great and embrace challenges.

The Group Business Director functions as a member of the agency’s senior team(s) and is responsible for developing close relationships with senior management and for proper servicing of the account. You are responsible for overseeing the total resources of the group (agency and partner companies), ensuring that clients receive the most intelligent, creative and comprehensive response possible.  

This highly motivated, detailed oriented leader will be responsible for overseeing key aspects of the Agency’s client service/ business leadership capabilities including team development, suggested tools, processes, project management & other partners to ensure Cossette is strongly positioned to deliver end to end projects flawlessly now and into the future.

The Group Business Director bears final responsibility for the agency’s recommendations and performance (both financially and professionally) and, together with the Strategy Director and Creative Director, is responsible for its final product.  You will provide strong leadership and management to the team while ensuring that positive working relationships are being developed at other levels within the group and other disciplines.

As Group Business Director - you will have a deep understanding of multichannel program management, integrated marketing solutions and production.  The scope of the role includes end-to-end project delivery across marketing - including design, integration, implementation, planning, reporting tools development, operation and execution, resource and financial management to deliver on time and on budget.

  • Drives business/relationship growth
  • Identify and navigates any roadblocks, concerns/disputes quickly and equitably (both internal and external)
  • Ultimately responsible for the health of the relationship and achieving business results
  • Reinforce company values and culture
  • Advance the professional development of the people in your team, be willing to delegate, monitor their work, be a readily accessible resource and provide regular performance reviews

 

What you bring to the table.

  • 8+ years experience with an integrated advertising agency
  • Experience being the primary lead on a large piece of business - with the ability to run accounts top to bottom as needed
  • Strategically-minded / strong creative POV
  • Strong financial management experience
  • Strong relationship builder and a problem solver (solution-oriented)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
  • A hands-on leader, who is capable of coaching and motivating junior team members
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle a high volume of work
