Job Summary:
The Manager of Quality Assurance plays a key role in ensuring the organization's products or services meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position involves leading a team, developing quality assurance processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product/service quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance Strategy: Develop and implement the organization's quality assurance strategy to ensure products or services meet or exceed customer expectations.
2. Process Development: Establish and refine quality assurance processes, methodologies, and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure a high level of expertise within the team.
4. Quality Audits: Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with quality standards, regulations, and internal processes.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, operations, and customer support, to drive a culture of quality throughout the organization.
6. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in product or service quality and implement initiatives to enhance overall quality performance.
7. Quality Metrics: Establish and monitor key quality metrics, providing regular reports to leadership on quality performance.
8. Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that quality assurance processes align with relevant regulatory requirements and standards.
9. Customer Feedback: Analyze customer feedback and complaints to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
Accountabilities:
1. Quality Assurance Effectiveness: Accountable for the effectiveness of the organization's quality assurance processes and the achievement of established quality goals.
2. Regulatory Compliance : Accountable for ensuring compliance with relevant quality standards and regulations.
3. Responsible as site QAP.
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Quality Management: In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
2. Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team to achieve quality goals.
3. Process Improvement : Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to convey complex quality concepts and requirements to various stakeholders.
5. Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address quality issues.
Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (., ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence) is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
3. Proven experience in developing and implementing effective quality assurance processes.
4. Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001 or industry-specific standards.
5. Experience in a regulated industry (if applicable) and knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
6. Strong proficiency in quality management tools and software.
