The Maintenance Technician carries out preventativemaintenance on equipment and systems, assists Coordinator and various tradeswith installations and annual maintenance plans, troubleshoots problems asrequired, and attends to repairs as needed. This position is responsible fortransferring related supplies to various sites, logging and tracking recordsand reports, and monitoring laundry and elevator equipment reporting problemsas needed.

Qualifications

Education

Related trade certification.

Experience

At least one (1) year of experience working in arelated environment or equivalent combination of education, training, andexperience. Experienceworking with a similar organization that serves marginalized clients is anasset.

Requirements

Complete the Ministry of Public Safety andSolicitor General Criminal Record Check. Class 5 drivers’ licence and clean drivingrecord.

  Job Information

Hourly Wage Rate: $30.18 - $33.49. Work Location: Various Cool Aid Shelter sites. Work Days: Tuesday to Saturday. Shift Time: 8:00am to 4:00pm. Total Weekly Hours: 40. Union: BCGEU. Benefits: Eligible for 100% employer paidbenefits. We offer comprehensive extended health and dental plans. Job Type: Full-time, permanent.

Candidate upon hire may be eligible to transfer the hoursworked with other Community Social Services Agencies under the Retention andPortability memorandum. Some restrictions may apply.
