Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of various physical plant and specialized equipment in assigned 7-Eleven/Stripes stores within a geographic area. The role involves performing on-the-job training and assessment of new technicians, as well as responding to work orders for a wide range of in-store equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform on-the-job training and assessment of new technicians
  • Respond to work orders for various in-store equipment, including HVAC, refrigeration, hot beverage equipment, cold beverage equipment, and more
  • Perform plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks
  • Replace 'plug and play' equipment as needed
  • Oversee and support assigned apprentices
  • Assess technician strengths and areas of opportunity to help coach and train
  • Develop strategies to support continual growth and skills development with the apprentice
Education and Experience:

High School/GED required. 3+ years of relevant work experience. Valid Driver's License and valid Refrigeration/Electrician/Plumbing/Appliance Journeyman level license issued by the province in which the work is performed.

Specific Knowledge and Skills:
  • Show leadership and peer-to-peer tech support
  • Effective communication and project management skills
  • Ability to lead the team and meet project deadlines
