As a Project Manager for the Canadian Strategic Initiatives team, you will be responsible for the planning, oversight and delivery of projects. The role integrates agile methodologies to enhance project delivery and team effectiveness. While managing resources and monitoring project progress, stakeholders must be kept informed throughout the project delivery. The position will afford client-facing opportunities and requires professionalism and the ability to organize and clearly present information relating to the project.

What does your typical day look like?

Define a project management plan; Define project charters/scope and objectives; Coordinate project resources to achieve project objectives; Develop and actively monitor detailed project plan(s) to track progress; Use project management techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs; Manage project activities to deliver projects on-time, within scope, and within budget; Create and maintain appropriate project documentation and ensure resource availability and allocation; Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques; Identify, mitigate, and report/escalate project risks to management, as needed.

What skills and training do you need?

University degree or college diploma in management, business, or a related field; 3-5 years of experience in project management, demonstrating successful delivery of projects from inception to completion; AGILE Project Management experience, preferably in an insurance, financial services, healthcare, or technology-based company; PMP certification; other related trainings are an asset; Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives across different teams and departments; Organizational skills with attention to detail; Ability to manage multiple activities and prioritize in accordance with operational and strategic objectives; Autonomous and detail oriented; Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office tools; Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to lead and communicate updates to both internal and external stakeholders; French and Spanish are an asset.
