2 ‑ Part Time ‑ OR Attendant

Operating Room

This position has no set schedule, casualcall‑ins

This position will involve working the day, evening, weekendshifts. The shift is not to be interpreted as a guarantee.

Under the direction of the Manager OR, the OR Attendant (ORAT)will function as an integral part of the

Perioperative Team to ensure an optimal Perioperative patientexperience. The ORAT will consult with the team to

ensure organized and timely delivery of supplies and equipment tothe OR suite as required .

Efficient and quality room changeover service for the OR suite isan expectation as well as patient transfers within

the service, care and handling of specimens, obtaining bloodproducts and patient positioning for prepping and

draping. This position also requires the skills and knowledge tomaintain a safe, clean work environment.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

* Minimum Grade 12 Education

Skills/Abilities:

* Knowledge of Medical terminology, particularly as it applies tothe Perioperative setting

* Demonstrated understanding of the principles of aseptictechnique, infection control and universal precautions

* Ability to prioritize work, work with minimal supervision andaccept responsibility for quality of work

* Dexterity in care and handling of fragile equipment andinstrumentation.

Salary Range: $24.806 to 25.224
