Role andResponsibilities

  1. Performs initial and ongoing assessment of theresidents needs;
  2. Develop revise and implementthe resident care profiles;
  3. Order administerand store medications and treatments in compliance with thepolicies of the facility pharmacy and standards of the College ofNurses;
  4. Provide direct patientcare
  5. Practice under the CNOstandards
  6. Follow facility policies andprocedures
  7. Provide direct patient care in ahospital setting
  8. Practice under the College ofNurses standards
Qualifications
  • Registered Practical Nurse Diploma from anaccredited institution.
  • BLS/ACLS &eCTAS Certification an asset.
  • Seniors homelongterm care and/or hospital experience anasset.
  • Active Certificate of Competence withthe College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Availabilityto work shifts: days/evenings/nights and weekends asrequired.
  • Proficient technical skills toinclude but not limited to: MS Word andemail.
  • Able to work independently and in a teamenvironment.
  • Strong interpersonal/communication& organizational skills Effective problemsolving andconflict management skills.
  • Proof of currentimmunization for measles mumps rubella and varicella(MMRV).
  • Proof of negative TB skin test withinthe past one (1) year or negative chest xray within the past five(5) years.
  • Current N95 Mask Fit TestCertification.
