Job SummaryWe are seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in North Bay for a part-time or full-time position in a long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of residents' needs.
- Develop, revise, and implement resident care profiles.
- Order, administer, and store medications and treatments in compliance with facility policies and standards.
- Provide direct patient care in a hospital setting.
- Practice under the College of Nurses standards.
- Registered Practical Nurse Diploma from an accredited institution.
- BLS/ACLS & eCTAS Certification an asset.
- Seniors home, long-term care, and/or hospital experience an asset.
- Active Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Availability to work shifts: days/evenings/nights and weekends as required.
- Proficient technical skills to include but not limited to: MS Word and email.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal/communication & organizational skills Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills.
- Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV).
- Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years.
- Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certification.
Competitive compensation: $39- $42 / hr
Vulnerable Sector Check (1 year) - VSC
TB Test (6 months)
