Job SummaryWe are currently seeking a Registered Practical Nurse interested in a part-time or full-time position in North Bay for a long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for delivering high-quality patient care and a commitment to excellence in their work.
Responsibilities- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of residents' needs;
- Develop, revise, and implement resident care profiles;
- Order, administer, and store medications and treatments in compliance with the policies of the facility pharmacy and standards of the College of Nurses;
- Provide direct patient care;
- Practice under the CNO standards;
- Follow facility policies and procedures;
- Provide direct patient care in a hospital setting;
- Practice under the College of Nurses standards;
- Registered Practical Nurse Diploma from an accredited institution;
- BLS/ACLS & eCTAS Certification an asset;
- Seniors home, long-term care, and/or hospital experience an asset;
- Active Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario;
- Availability to work shifts: days/evenings/nights and weekends as required;
- Proficient technical skills to include but not limited to: MS Word and email;
- Able to work independently and in a team environment;
- Strong interpersonal/communication & organizational skills; Effective problemsolving and conflict management skills;
- Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (MMRV);
- Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years;
- Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certification;
