Inventory Analyst

Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial products and equipment, dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services to their customers. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing inventory levels, ensuring that the supply meets demand while minimizing costs. This position involves analyzing inventory data, identifying trends, and implementing inventory management strategies to improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels based on sales forecasts, historical data, and market trends.
    • Develop and execute inventory control procedures to minimize stock discrepancies, obsolescence, and excess inventory.
    • Perform regular audits and reconcile inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
    • Generate and interpret reports on inventory metrics such as turnover rates, fill rates, and days on hand.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to management for improving inventory performance.
  • Forecasting & Planning:
    • Collaborate with the procurement and sales teams to develop demand forecasts and inventory replenishment plans.
    • Assist in the preparation of inventory budgets and forecasts to support business planning.
  • Systems & Tools:
    • Utilize inventory management software and tools to track and analyze inventory data.
    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the inventory management systems.
    • Participate in the implementation and improvement of inventory management systems and processes.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Liaise with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal departments to coordinate inventory activities.
    • Address and resolve inventory-related issues promptly to support uninterrupted operations.
    • Communicate inventory status and issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices in inventory management.
    • Prepare and present inventory reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 2-4 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain analysis, or a related role.
    • Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
